Human West Paladin Quest Walkthroughs for Levels 1-20

Level 1
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst Breach
Speak with Sir Hanst Breach, the Guildmaster. You are asked to go outside the building and find Merchant Colind and the the Squire's Shield. Report back to Sir Hanst.

Level 2
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst Breach
Sir Hanst asks you to report to Dame Erica Woolsley who is beside Sir Hanst. She sends you to Spritmaster Kloe, by the well to the west. Now you wil be sent to speak with Coachman Billfer.
Note: go out to the Midroad and turn north. At the signpost, head and exit the city through the east gate. Continue east down the road. The stables are to the north; he is in the stables.
Return to Dame Erica.

Level 3
Starting NPC: Dame Erica
As proof of your expertise in battle, retrieve two cracked rat claws and return them to Dame Erica. Exit the town and kill rats until you find what you need.
6,900xp and receive the Hero Guard scroll

Level 4
Starting NPC: Sir Sturl Thornchild
Sir Sturl Thornchild will make you a weapon if you bring him the following items:
Wooden Shaft - Purchase from Merchant Greig (in the Beggar's District)
Iron Ore - Purchase from Smithy Wella [near the guardhouse]
Ruined Bat Wing - kill rabid bats outside the city
Return to Sir Sturl with these items.
17,000xp and receive the Footman's Longspear

Level 5
Starting NPC: Sir Sturl Thornchild
You are asked to go out and slay one of the gnoll leaders and bring him a muddy paw.
Darkpaw gnolls are northeast from Qeynos. Follow the road north as it curves. When you see the guardtowers, turn right to see a gnoll camp. Darkpaw gnolls con yellow/red.
36,500xp and receive the Lay Hands scroll

Level 7
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst
Sir Hanst tells you that Sheriff Lordun is having troubles in Hagley, a little village to the east of Qeynos. Strange noises have been heard coming from the hillside at night. Travel to Hagley and speak to Sheriff Lordun.
Note: Follow the north path out of town along the Western Highpass Trade Road to reach Hagley.

Sheriff Lordun tells you the noise is coming from the northeast on top of the mountain. Travel to the mountain in the northeast and slay a screaming beetle (CONs yel@7). Loot a screaming beetle carapace and return to Sheriff Lordun. He gives you a letter to return to Sir Hanst.
157,474xp and receive the Protectorate scroll and the Squire's Bracers

Level 10
Starting NPC: Guard Filgen
Find Guard Filgen outside the Qeynos gates. He needs you to retrieve a rare and unique flower. Head south along the trade road towards the vilage of Shoalhome. Just offshore you will see an island. Head to the island and there are oceanic rats there. You must kill Eeekee, the large rat, in order to get the rose. Take the oceanic rose to Guard Filgen.

Guard Filgen will give you a note to deliver, along with the rose to Guard Filgen's wife. Travel south along the road from Guard Filgen and go back to Shaolhome. Deliver the items to Guard Opheena.

She will give you a report to deliver back to Guard Filgen. Now you must travel to the northeast and slay a darkpaw seer and return it's fangs to Guard Filgen.
Note: Follow the path northeast, then north past the small encampment of gnolls to find the seer.
556,753xp and receive the Guard's Claymore

Level 13
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst Breach
Sir Hanst sends you to Surefall Glade (sign the coach!) to speak to Martha the Innkeep. Then you are sent to Smithy Panderson, who needs some work to be done.

He gives you a box of coins and sends you to the old woman. Exit Surefall Glade, and travel west from the glade to find the old woman deep in the forest.
Note: her house is difficult to find, but is surrounded by Giant Beetles, Black Widows, and various wolves. It's located in Jethro's Cast (c).

She asks you to bring her items necessary to make the silk string that Panderson needs:
-2 silks from Black Widows
-1 poison sac from a tree viper

These mobs spawn right near her house, and con from blue to yellow @lvl 13. You'll need to farm the mobs until they drop what you need. Bring her the materials, and she gives you the fine silk string. Return to Smithy Panderson in Surefall Glade.
550,698xp and receive the Towering Wall scroll

Level 15
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst Breach
Sir Hanst asks you to report to Dame Woosley. She explains that one of the squires is lost. Go east to Hagley Village and speak with Brother Pendle.

Pendle thinks Wyna and her party died in the Hagley Tomb. Travel to the Hagley Tomb in the east and search for Wyna's remains.
Note: take the path east out of town. Travel to Hagley Keep on the mountaintop. Look southeast to see the tomb.

Battle your way to the lowest level of the tomb. There are mobs in the tomb that CON yel@15. Wyna the Hateful is in the bottom of the tomb. Destroy Wyna and collect her remains. Return to Pendle, who takes the remains and gives you a note for Dame Woosley.

Giving Dame Woosley the note, she asks you go back to see Brother Pendle and collect Wyna's remains for proper burial in Melton, a village located in Druid's Watch (C).
Note: Travel south from Hagley to reach Melton Graveyard.

Upon collecting the remains from Pendle, you must take them to Grave Digger Joe, who lives in a shack in Melton. He gives you a note to take back to Dame Woosley.
883,791xp and receive the Knight's Bash scroll and the Etched Knight's Boots

Level 20
Starting NPC: Sir Hanst Breach
1. Talk to Hanst Breach, who sends you to Captain Leighthron at Bayle Mansion in Qeynos city.

2. Captain Leighthron sends you to Lieutenant Windstalker, who is at Qeynos Prison, which is north of Qeynos. Windstalker is in a guard tower above the Prison.

3. Lieutenant Windstalker needs a prison key dropped by a guard, and eaten by a rat. You must kill prison rats (CONs Green to LB) until you find a key. Return the key to Lieutenant Windstalker, then return to Captain Leighthron in Qeynos.

4. Captain Leighthron sends you to speak with Advisor Amichevole, upstairs in the Bayle Mansion in Qeynos.

5. Amichevole sends you to find a new Dark Portal on an island near Stormhaven (Qeynos Prison zone). Travel south on the road from Qeynos to Stormhaven. Along the road south of Qeynos, the island will be easily visible. On the island you will find three (3) goblins and the portal. Enter the portal.

6. The portal sends you to a gypsy camp just north of Forkwatch (sign the coach while there). Speak with Delin Duamher. He wants you to slay the goblin responsible for summoning the portals. He sends you to the Darkwood Goblin Lair, which is in Alsop's Wall(C). If you find Alsop's wall, follow the wall till you find a steep cliff, jump down and find the entrance to the lair.

7. The "goblin summoner" is inside the Darkwood Goblin Lair, fight you way through the guards until you reach a hub type room with multiple entrances, in the room is the goblinl summoner (CONs Red@20). Plenty of goblins to kill in the area, and large aggro ranges. Kill, Loot the summoner's rune, return to Advisor Amichevole, return to Sir Hanst.

You will receive 2,814,929xp and choose between:
Shining Bastion, this ability taunts your enemy and increases your armour class, plus a sword; OR
Fortify, this ability increases your target's armour at the expense of yours, plus a hammer.
