The Next EQOA....
I know EQOA is dead, and others would love it to come back (myself included), but i see a lot of effort to bring back a game that can be destroyed by Sony for any reason. I have a thought...
When people played EQOA, they wanted an upgrade... a new disk, new lands, new quests, better graphics, downloadable content, and usable on newer systems. At the same time, people want the stability of knowing that Sony, and EQ aren't messing with the players.
This was my thought... Develop a NEW game, revamp the world to better graphics, new towns, new npc's, new quests... and charge $10 a month (like EQOA originally did)... offer it from someone other that SONY and EQ (who are burying themselves with stupid mistakes in my opinion) and at the same time, make it so that players can take over the game after the producers want to quit (for example.. sell the server software for $10,000 or something like that.
I would love to play the original EQOA, but cracking it would take 2-10 times as long than creating something new, which would ward off the copyright battles too.
Tell me what you think.

I've been trying to study up on UDK to start, but lets face it... I'm old :(
Things don't come as easy as they did when I was a kid.

Re: The Next EQOA....
I've been playing an offline version of eqoa via an emulator. It's awesome to be able to roam around again but sad at the same time, feels so empty without NPC or other players. Cant even go fishing...
