Shadowknight Exemplar Quest

Quest Name: SK Exemplar Quest

NPC: Priest of Bertoxxulous
Location: Freeport
1. Log the quest with the Priest of Bertoxxulous who stands in an alcove in the bottom of the Rogue/SK Guild in Freeport (next to Necorik the Ghost).
2. He sends you to see Urglauh the Foul in Trails End (N). He's located in a tunnel under the guard tower (where Inspector Flint stands for the HP Storyteller Quest) where the highway bandits are. Speak with Urglauh and tell him you were sent to be his disciple.
3. Urglauh the Foul sends you to corrupt the villager's bodies in a small town in Jared's Blight. Head to Sunnyvale (Jared's Blight (N)). Just outside the village are roaming "Villagers" (CON lb@60 but lots of HPs). Kill the villagers until a "Corrupted Soul" spawns. TALK to the soul and it will despawn and give you a soul energy. Continue doing this until you have collected 5 soul energies.
4. Return to Urglauh the Foul with your 5 soul energies, and he'll take them and send you back to see the Priest of Bertoxxulous in FP. The Priest now sends you to see Miasma Malignus in the Green Rift (W). She is located in a tent across from Spiritmaster Draxul.
5. Speak with Miasma Malignus; you will get -2000 faction with Enraged of Karana. She wants you to gain the trust of the pilgrims and turn them from their god. You will find Pilgrim Disciples and Prilgrim Apostles in Green Rift (S). There are two camps of them located on the south and west side of the edge of the bowl shaped valley with the lake. Speak with them, pay attention to which text scripts work. If you fail in your effort to turn one against their god, they'll respawn as enraged pilgram and attack you (others won't aggro). You must return to Miasma with 5 walking sticks, freely given (not broken).
6. Return to Miasma Malignus with your 5 walking sticks; she will take them and then send you back to the Priest of Bertoxxulous in FP.
7. At this point the Priest asks you to make a choice. You must chose between:
*learning more about soultap (power steal, like a life tap); or
*causing pain and suffering to those around you (AoE strike).
This is similar to the Paladin Exemplar Quest, you can always re-do the quest and chose a different ability, but you can't hold both abilities in your spellbook at the same time.
Soultap
If you choose Soul Drain, you will receive 10.5million xp, and the Priest of Bertoxxulous sends you back to see Miasma Malignus in Green Rift (W). She wants you to go defile graves of the pure saints of Norrath. Con and talk to the Blasphemous Box beside her before leaving.
The graves are located in Collingridge Cemetary (N) right beside the river on a hill, just east of the Elder's Tomb. You need to interact with the grave headstones in order to get Mourners to spawn. You'll need to loot Crystallized Sorrow gems from them for a stack of 25. Pure crystallized sorrow gems=50 faction, normal ones=10faction. You can con and talk to the grave headstones, but I found it easier to spawn mourners by attacking the headstones (2 mourners spawn @ a time).
Once you have your stack of 25 sorrow gems, return to Miasma and con and talk to the Blasphemous Box beside her. It will take all the sorrow gems and give you 10 faction for crystallized sorrow gems, and 50 faction for pure crystallized sorrow. Return to the gaves in Collingridge and start all over again until you've obtained 2k faction with The Profane of Bertoxxulous. Then con and speak with Miasma who will then tell you to return to the Priest of Bertoxxulous for your reward.
Speak with the Priest of Bertoxxulous in FP and tell him you have come for your power reward. He'll then open a 1cm ability under "Class" called Soultap: "This dark power permits the Shadowknight to drink power from the soul of their enemy". This ability is cast on a mob, and refills your mana by about 8k, recast 15 min.
Should you decide later that you want the AoE strike, you can opt to re-do the entire quest steps 1-7 . At step 7, you will be asked to chose between Soultap and AoE strike, chose AoE strike.
AoE Strike
If you choose AoE strike, you will receive 10.5million xp, and the Priest of Bertoxxulous sends you back to see Urglauh the Foul in Trails End (N). He is angry that the paladins and clerics of Rodcet Nife, the prime healer, are undoing all his work in Sunnyvale.
Return to Sunnyvale (Jared's Blight (N)) and find the small camp of Healers and Paladins of Rodcet standing around a campfire. Its located at the bottom of the mountain 2 minutes to the north of Sunnyvale. Slay them and loot until you have completed your stack (25) of screaming souls (skulls).
Return to Urglauh with the screaming souls and feed them to the zombie. You'll get 10 faction with the Corrupted of Bertoxxulous. Go back to Sunyvale and farm more drops for another stack of 25 - repeat until you max faction at 2k with The Corrupted of Bertoxxulous. After you max your faction, speak again with Urglauh who will tell you to return to the Priest of Bertoxxulous in FP.
Demand your reward from the Priest of Bertoxxulous and a 1cm ability will open under "General" called Soul Cleave: "This spell alters your "strike" abilities to then defile the souls of all enemies around the Shadowknight". It's an AoE strike, 45 sec recast. Life tap from the strike is only returned on the mob cast on, not AoE effect. AoE is damage only, small radius.
Should you decide later that you want the Soultap, you can opt to re-do the entire quest steps 1-7 . At step 7, you will be asked to chose between Soultap and AoE strike, chose Soultap.
Rewards
Soul Cleave: 1cm ability will open under "General" called Soul Cleave:
This CM will alter all your previous strike line abilities to be AoE. The highest is called Deathcleave:"A powerful attack that cuts a swath through a group of enemies."

Damage wise, the spells are modded (not by intel, maybe by str) and go like this:
Deathcleave does about 1970;
Doomcleave does about 1749;
Bloodcleave does 1249;
Sorrowcleave does about 760;
Paincleave does about 554.
Soultap: 1cm ability will open under "Class" called Soultap:
"A dark curse that diminishes your enemy's spirit."
This ability is cast on a mob, and refills your mana by about 8k, recast 15 min.
