Path Quests
Quest Name: Group 4, Level 30
NPC: Belran Nightrift
Location: Dark Solace
Requirements: Lvl 30 and completion of your Level 20 path quest.
If you are an eastern human cleric or rogue, and have low faction with dark solace, see NOTE below.
Talk to Belran Nightrift in Dark Solace, he will tell you a short tale about the ritual season and how a tome is needed for it, you offer to help. You are sent to Muniels Tea Garden to kill Jolin Tofeph (CONs yel@30); he can be found in the top of a tower near the coachman. Kill and loot the "bloody letter".
Inspect the "bloody letter"; it hints at Nalzik P'Thek in Freeport having the tome at one time, but selling it. Coach to FP, and head north to the 2nd floor of the guild building by the dockmaster to speak with Nalzik P'Thek.
Nalzik P'Thek will tell you that in order for you to get the name of the person he sold it to, you will have to do him a favour. He sends you to Holciel Rowen'Dal to collect the Windstream Cutlass from the Lesser Halls. Travel to the Tomb of Kings (long run west from FP), locate and kill Tariel Windstream (CONs Red@30); he is a ghost, and casts. Loot Windscreen Cutlas and return to Nalzik P'Thek.
*Note: When you reach the room where Niktuu is for the lvl 33 quests, take the exit in the left corner in the room and look around through that side of TOK for Tinael.
**Note Tinael is found on the left side of the Tomb, not the right, where you will find all red cons and death. On your way in pick up a tea set off of the mob Niktuu as you will need it for the 33 quests! Map of Tomb of Kings
Nalzik P'Thek now tells you that Falder Malinar (CONs Yel@30) has the tome. He is located in Freeport, upstairs in the Shining Serpent Inn (Bard Guild) [get to that long hallway like you're running to the bank, the Shining Serpert is the first room off to the right]. Kill Falder, loot the ransom note: "Falder, we have your tome. Meet us at the well near the docks. Bring 1,600 tunar."
Take 1,600 tunar with you and head to the well by the FP coach, near a big rock you will see Grimefod Philch. Speak with Grimefod; give him the money; when he tries to attack you, kill him, loot the antiquated ring, and return to Nalzik P'Thek.
Upon inspecting the ring, Nalzik P'Thek claims this is the famous Ring of Infinite Uselessness that was previously owned by Eljin Rindain. You can find Eljin at the Rusted Lantern Inn, in FP, near the coach area, upstairs.
When you talk to Eljin Rindain he will summon a Compelled Shade (CONs Wht@30) to appear, and Eljin (CONs RED) begins to atack you as well. Kill Eljin and loot the Tome of Dimensional Gates.
QUEST COMPLETION
Return to Belran Nightrift in Dark Solace, you will get:
7,890,859 xp
Cleric: elemental guard (+35 to each resist) and dark priest warhammer OR bind wounds and dark priest hammer.
Enchanter: expansive mind and deceptive staff OR power jet and tainted crystal staff.
Rogue: evasion and steelthorn OR lesser wound and ironspike

Quest Name: Group 4, Level 40
NPC: Thalnix D'Rinas
Location: South Crossroads aka DS
Requirements: Lvl 40 and completion of your Level 30 path quest.
Talk to Thalnix D'Rinas (he is found opposite Belran Nightrift) in Dark Solace, and hear the history of the Great Crystal. You will be sent to gather four shards of the Great Crystal by completing four tests and defeating four golems. These tests can be done in any order.
Golem in Deathfist Forge
This guardian is in DeathFist Forge (E) in a small hut. The golem's master is Orish Thulon. Speak with Orish and he will send you on the test of Fear. Head to DeathFist Citadel (C) to kill a DeathFist Fire Weaver (CONs LB), he is located near the DeathFist Trader in the centre of the camp. Kill him, loot the medicine bag, and return to Orish. Now you will have to fight the Golem (Cons yel@40). Kill him and loot the crystalline shard of fear.
Golem in Stone Watchers
This guardian is in Stone Watchers (SE), on the coast, and on a hill that glows green with stone pillars around. Talk to Watcher Mironar who will send you on the test of station for which you need to gather three large ant carpaces; these can be found in the Ant Colonies zone (s), kill all the black ant guards and carpenters you find until you get what you need. Return to Watcher Mironar, who will awaken the golem. Kill the golem and loot the crystalline shard of station.
Golem in Great Waste
This guardian is in Great Waste (SE). You can find the golem and his master, Drelk Trunkfist, in a half-shell in Great Waste (SE). You have to kill Drelk (CONs yel@40) to complete the test of strength. Now give Drelk's sword to the golem and then kill the golem and loot the crystalline shard of greed.
Golem in Dark Solace
This guardian is in Dark Solace near the invisble wall. You have to pay Windle Gearprofit 2,500 tunar to complete the test of greed. Kill the golem (CONs yel@40) and loot crystalline shard of greed.
QUEST COMPLETION
Return all 4 shards to Thalnix, he thanks you gives you experience. Then speak with Belran Nightrift for your reward.
You will recieve 14,919,719 xp and:

Quest Name: Group 4, Level 49
NPC: Thalnix D'Rinas
Location: South Crossroads [Dark Solace]
Requirements: Lvl 49 and completion of your Level 40 path quest.
*NOTE Ensure you have plenty of space in your inventory. Save everything that any NPC gives you until you have your end quest rewards and your path ability. Once your quest is completely ended you may safely delete any remaining items left in your ivnentory.
Talk to Gribble Greencog in Dark Solace to log your quest. He explains that he needs a set of four ciphers to finish "The Calling". In order to create the ciphers, he must gather two different translations of the tomes of Sun, Moon, and Stars.
Tome 1
You are required to head to Kelinar and kill four wizards that have the tomes. Coach to Gunter's Mine, and run north following the mountains. As the mountains curve to the left follow them around to see Kelinar in the distance.
Faelial Elminiea (first tower heading to Kelinar from GM) Kelinar (s)
Lomal Hindel (follow path east from first tower) Kelinar (se)
Llinior Orinial (north of first tower) Kelinar (c)
Kalen Falder (follow path further east of second tower) Kelinar (c)
They are located in four watchtowers. You will see the guard towers along the path. The named are inside on the second floor, all of them are casters, kill all four and loot their tomes.
Tome 2
Travel to the Salt Mines of Caer Sloth. Run east from Forkwatch (or NE from Dark Solace) until you find the Salt Mine (siloths). Head near the bottom (just before the entrance to the spider area) and find and kill the caster Collin Ilbeth and loot his tome (Old common moon tome).
Tome 3
In the Salt Mine, and past the Collin Ilbeth, go down the ramps. Enter the room with the three drachnid gorgers. Kill and move into the larger circular room. Keep going straight across the room west (the fourth door on your right). Follow the ramp downward and you will enter directly into the room with the 'body snatcher'. Kill him and loot his tome (ancient elven moon tome).
Return to Gribble. Gribble tells you to meet Feldink Shortquill in Highpass to have the tomes made into ciphers. Feldink is in the keep in HP, bring him 3300 tunar.
Return to Gribble in Dark Solace who uses the ciphers to begin the ritual of "the Calling". You are required to stand at a specific spot (the invisible man) to begin the ritual. The ritual summons the avatar of Lord Chardith, who will attack you after you interact with him. Kill the avatar of Lord Chardith, loot ethereal matter, and then Belran Nightrift will tell you to defeat the real Lord Chardith. You are sent to Archmagus Terathin with the ciphers.
To Summon Chardith
Note: If possible tag around with someone else doing this quest and get all your drops @ the same time. For the person doing the quest, it takes a while for the Archmagus to spawn and talk each time (can take over an hour to complete), BUT, if you collect all your drops ahead of time (sun,moon,and star phylactery, and Chardith bone) the magus will advance you through the entire quest in 2 minutes.
Coach to Oasis, run southwest to Takish Hiz(SW). You will find a large city in ruins, stay on the outskirts and make your way to the south part. On the east side, find a building with a blue neon lighting bolt sign, with a ramp up, and then a ramp down into a basement, and enter it. It's south past theStar Knights will pop invis, and stone gnomes are KoS to evil peeps!
Once in the basement, head north to find Archmagus Terathin. He will tell you the world is doomed, keep speaking to him and agree to help him destroy the Magi. Speak with him when you are ready, and chose a Magus to face (it does not matter which order you chose them). After you chose, Terathin despawns the existing magus, if it's up, and respawns the quest version (ie. you cannot kill the magi in advance of speaking to Terathin).
Note: do NOT try and kill the sun, moon, & star magus' unless the quest has been logged with Terathin. Only if someone speaks to Terathin with the 'real' magus' spawn - other ones will drop fake phylacteries.
SUN
Head to the corridor that spawns the sun knights (enchanted armour). You can either clear out the top room, to make your way below to the Sun Magus or invis and run down to the lower ramp. Either way, set up on the lower ramp, kill the Sun Magi and loot the sun phylactery. Return to Archmagus Terathin. He will only speak to you at 15 minute intervals, so if he is not up, or won't talk to you, don't panic, he will. Speak with Terathin to chose the next Magi to destroy.
STAR
Now head to the room with the star wisps. You can either clear out the top room, to make your way below to the Star Magus or invis and run down to the lower ramp. Either way, set up on the lower ramp, kill the Star Magi and loot the star phylactery. Return to Archmagus Terathin. He will only speak to you at 15 minute intervals, so if he is not up, or won't talk to you, don't panic, he will. Speak with Terathin to chose the next Magi to destroy.
MOON
Head to the corridor that spawns the moon wraiths. These sometimes see through invis, so it's recommended to carefully pull and empty the top room keeping boxes fresh. Set up on the lower ramp, kill the Moon Magi and loot the moon phylactery. Return to Archmagus Terathin. He will only speak to you at 15 minute intervals, so if he is not up, or won't talk to you, don't panic, he will.
Now that you've turned in the three phlacteries, Terathin will then ask you to open the jeweled chest behind him and choose your epic weapon. Terathin will give a history token to the player and ask him to speak with him again once you've chosen. Once you've chosen your weapon you cannot choose another.
Speak with Terathin again to begin the ritual of summoning Lord Chardith. This involves a small scripted event where a Dwarf comes forward and sacrifices himself so that Chardith may be summoned. Get ready to fight. Chardith should spawn while Terathin despawns. Kill Lord Chardith and loot one "Bone of Chardith".
QUEST COMPLETION
After looting Chardith's bone, return to Gribble Greencog for your reward. He will send you to an NPC (diff for all classes) to determine what your Lvl 49 Path ability will be. Pay attention to who he sends you to!
-Clerics see Belron Nightrift (standing beside Gribble). He sends you to find Elder Fouran in DS
-Jared's Tower in DM for some classes.
Your NPC will congratulate you and send you on a small task. Your task will be to visit three people. These people represent your 20, 30 and 40 quests. Each will give you a note of approval naming the path ability you chose at 20, 30 and 40 respectively. Once you have all of these notes, return to this NPC for your choice of lvl 49 path specific ability.

If you are an eastern human cleric or rogue, you need to speak to Davek Malall in Freeport on the first floor floor of the cleric temple. He will give you 1000 faction with dark solace. Then you can go through the wall at dark solace to log the level 30 quest.
